Green Bamboo
As always my husband and I enjoyed our stay. The location and amenities are amazing. I think we had the pool all to ourselves on most days. This is our 3rd or 4th stay at Green Bamboo. The unit could stand a few updates or TLC, the bedding is the same as it was about 10 years ago- time for new covers. The washer and dryer were brand new! Much appreciated.

Comfortable stay
This is the third time we’ve stayed at the Green Bamboo in the Truman Annex. There’s a nice deck with table and chairs, a ceiling fan and an electric grill. It’s great that there is a half bath on the main floor. Walking distance to Duval, My Blue Heaven and the Creperie (great breakfast places). Fort Zach is very close. You can do beach yoga there every morning. We’ve already booked for next year!

Heavenly Green Bamboo
This home is lovely. Great location, great outdoor space. Close to everything! My only complaint is the awning on the second floor balcony is missing so we could not sit out there because the sun is too hot!

GREEN BAMBOO at The Truman Annex in Key West
This property was exactly as described. It was very comfortable for our family. It was so nice to have front porch, back porch & porch off the master bedroom. Everything you need is available in the kitchen, appreciated having things available like dish soap, foil, plastic wrap, etc. Pool was close by and very relaxing! The location is great! So easy to walk to all the attractions and shopping.

Green Bamboo - GREAT PLACE TO STAY
We have used Compass Realty several times and have not been disappointed. The rental procedure is easy and there is constant communication available. The Green Bamboo is so beautiful, well stocked and couldn't be in a better location. The only negative is the location of the parking space. You need to have a small vehicle to angle it in.

A little bit of heaven
This condo was the perfect location for a stay in Key West and enjoying old town. Most places were very walkable. The condo was decorated nicely and checkin could not have been easier. We visited some of our old favorites but found some new ones too. Witt’s Courthouse Deli had the best fresh custard. The Mallory Square sundae is perfection. We also discovered Off the Hook on Caroline St. Food was fabulous and the service was even better. Alonzo’s for fresh seafood was fabulous and the view of the harbor made it even better. The condo was comfortable and well maintained except for some cracked tile in the bathroom. This is the perfect location for a visit in Key West!

Wonderful house in a beautiful area. Had all of the amenities that we needed for the week. Neighbors were a nice plus too as they were very friendly. Loved the location as it was very close to everything that we did. Also, really enjoyed biking up to the park each evening to watch the sunset. Could not have asked for a better week in Key West. Will definitely be back again.

Great location
Just a couple of blocks from Duval Street. The pool is very close. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the warm weather. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast, make coffee. Convenient to have a half bath on the main floor. This was our second time at the Green Bamboo!

The home is beautiful, clean and has the comforts needed for a restful vacation. We enjoyed staying in the Truman Annex and how easy it was to walk to local attractions. The home had several places to rest and relax outside and we appreciated the comfortable living room furniture. Excellent Wi-Fi service meant we could also work when needed during the stay. On the second day of the trip, we decided this house will be our go-to whenever we are in Key West. Great vacation home!

Excellent Stay
This was our first time staying in the Truman Annex and we were impressed. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We appreciated that the home had everything we needed for a great stay including linens, towels and some essentials like paper products and soap. The outdoor spaces were lovely and the back deck areas were private and relaxing. The home was within walking distance to many of the Key West tourist locations and restaurants. We had such a lovely time that we are already talking about booking the home again next year.

Very nice!
Our family loved the location of the rental. It was well stocked with towels, blankets, etc., even though I was there 3 days before I found a washcloth. That was my own fault. The only thing missing from the kitchen was a roll of paper towels. The furniture wasn't very comfortable but we didn't stay in the condo at all during the day. The pool was congested with "residents" vs. guests who camped in the shady areas every single day. We would definitely rent this condo again but wished for more space at the pool! It seemed odd that the rental company is closed on weekends when people are checking in and out.

Very clean and nicely decorated. The location is great. We walked everywhere in Key West from the Southern most point to the marina area downtown. No walk took more than 15 min unless you wanted it to. We never moved our car from the parking spot for 7 days. Many restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the property. Hemingway home,Truman white house all just minutes away. We had a great week here.

Although, the parking spot does take some excellent parking skills to maneuver into it. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay and Green Bamboo!!
We stayed at Green Bamboo in early June for 1 week. It was my wife and I and our 2 teenage sons. The size of green bamboo was perfect for us. We have stayed in the Truman Annex before and really like its location to Duval and Mallory square. The complex also has nice clean convenient pools. The property had comfortable furniture and beds. We also felt Green Bamboo was kept up nicely. Some have complained about the parking spot being tight and it was, however I was able to fit a Toyota 4 Runner in it just have to take your time and be careful. If I could change anything it would be nice to upgrade the TV's to smart TV's so on rainy days we could access Netflix and such. It was nice that Beach towels are provided some beach chairs and a cooler would be a great addition for those of us who flew down. With that said u would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!!

Green Bamboo was a perfect spot for our family vacation in Key West (2 adults, 2 teens). The place was clean, everything operated well, and the kitchen was well appointed for our needs (we tend to cook dinner each night). The beds were comfortable and outdoor spaces really enriched our stay. The location is ideally situated near the waterfront, Fort Zach, and night life, without being so close that you can't relax and feel away from everything.

Family Vacation in Key West
We loved our stay at Green Bamboo in the Truman Annex. It was clean, well maintained, and the kitchen was well appointed for our needs (we cooked dinner each night). The location is perfectly situated for easy access to the waterfront, Fort Zach, and the shopping/entertainment areas without being so close to any that you can't relax. We enjoyed our stay at the Green Bamboo. Everything was as expected. It was quiet to sleep - we didn't hear any Roosters. The neighbors on both sides of us were friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. The location is excellent. It's a short walk to watch the sunset, go to the pool, or enjoy many of the great restaurants, bars, and stores. We would love to return.

Living arangements were great, the only issue was the master bed. The bed is in bad shape, it needs replaced asap. I rarely have back issues but with the age and dips in this bed gave me some back troubles.

Great location, nice, comfortable large unit. For a larger complex, it was mostly quiet. The place was clean and nicely upgraded. Furniture and bed were comfortable. We only had two complaints. We have stayed in other units that had keypads for entry. This one we had to walk 10 minutes each way to the office to pick up a key and the same when leaving as we don’t rent a car. Also, the light in the shower was burned out and one of the shower curtain hooks was broken and the curtain kept falling off. Minor complaints. Great place we’d stay in again.

Wonderful property and location!
We really enjoyed this property and the wonderful location. It is a very nice and clean rental that offers everything you need for your stay! The Truman waterfront is steps away to enjoy the beautiful sunsets! Duval within walking distance! Quiet in the evenings. We definitely would rent again! Compass Realty was very easy to work with and very accommodating!

Green Bamboo Stay
This was our second stay at Green Bamboo and about our 10th in Truman Annex. My husband and I live Key West and find the location of Green Bamboo perfect. The neighbors are very kind and friendly, and the condo is centrally located near attractions. This particular condo is showing some wear and in need of some updating. There were several bugs that I had not seen in past visits and realize we are in Florida.

The Green Bamboo at the Truman Annex is a perfect place to stay in Key West. Only a short (5 min) walk to Mallory Square & Duval Street and close to the Fort Zachary Taylor Park Beaches. The complex has private pools that the unit can use. The Green Bamboo felt like home!

Great place for all our needs!
First time staying at the Green Bamboo, third time in Key West. Love staying in the Truman Annex. Walking distance to everything. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We loved having a bathroom on both floors. The back deck with the table, chairs, lounge chairs & grill were used everyday. The beds were comfortable. The pool was close and we used that daily too. Great place for all our needs!

Couples Getaway
Great location! Just a couple of blocks away from Duval. Walkable to most everything. We loved having the bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom and having a half bath on the main living area. We used the outside space everyday. It was nice eating outside and appreciated that we had the grill to cook burgers. We will definitely reserve this property again!

Location is great!
We enjoyed our first trip to Key West. We came during Easter week, so it was very busy on the island and on the street. The place was nice, good for a couple with 2 kids. If it's not clear, there is one bathroom upstairs and a powder room in the downstairs living area. The location is great, short walk to everything including Fort Zachary Beach. The beach was too busy most of the time, but again, this was Easter week. The pool is a standard "backyard-sized” pool that I assume would be nice to use most of the time but was often full because of how busy it was this week in particular. We had to communicate with Compass Realty a few times, they were super responsive (in my case over texting), which was helpful. Truman Annex is a great neighborhood/area to stay, we would definitely stay in this area again and would not hesitate to book this same property.

Green Bamboo- Nice Unit and Location
My family stayed at Green Bamboo from 4-3-21 to 4-10-21. The unit was clean and well stocked. The location was good - near enough to walk to Duval St. with all its chaos, but far enough to be quiet at night. A few observations ... The unit is located on a busy street. While quiet at night, it starts moving early with a lot of noisy truck traffic and people walking up and down the street. We are early risers so it did not bother us, but there was definitely a lot of morning activity. At night there are gates surrounding the community which are locked so the crowds from downtown cannot pass through. Another nice feature. We used the pool a lot which was also clean and pleasant. The only complaint we had is that the parking space assigned to this unit is very small and surrounding by posts, the garbage dumpsters, and other parking spots. It was very difficult to navigate in and out of the spot. We had a very small rental car so we were ok. We could not have parked a SUV or larger vehicle. You can see where other vehicles have actually hit the surrounding post trying to get out. We asked Compass Realty for another spot and were referred to security which would not let us park elsewhere. Other than that, I would have no reservations about staying at Green Bamboo. Great trip!

Annual Key West Trip
From the moment we walked through the door we new this place was right. The kitchen is well appointed. The furniture is comfortable. Plenty of good bath, hand towels and wash cloths. The space inside and outside of the unit is spectacular.Only 2 1/2 blocks from Duval; it's a convenient and leisurely walk to any restaurant or bar. Far enough away from everything to be quiet, but close enough to enjoy. The grounds are well kept and we always felt safe. This will be the place we stay as long as it's available for our time.
